Big Sandy Gilmore :: Characters

Raul
Raul is a platypus, and the main character of Big Sandy Gilmore. He is a pretty regular guy, but he gets involved with some pretty crazy people. As a platypus, he is a little confused about his parentage.

Dan
Dan is a raccoon who is Raul's best friend. Dan likes to think of himself as a mysterious guy, but in reality he comes across as just odd. Dan has a lot of trouble with women, but is very persistent.

Russell
Russell is a squirrel who doesn't seem to understand the nuances of social interaction. He's pretty blunt and self-involved, and is embarrassingly nerdy. He clings on to Dan and Raul as friends, and sometimes butts in.

Big Sandy
Big Sandy is an otter and runs a diner that the characters of the comic like to frequent. He is grumpy and old and doesn't like Raul or Dan, but for some reason loves Russell. He gets caught up in stories of his youth, and often bores the others to tears.
